Crown Office Chambers is the largest civil common law set of chambers in London. There are some 88 practising members, and we enjoy a high reputation within the profession in our chosen areas of specialisation. These are primarily in construction and commercial work, insurance and reinsurance, contract, professional negligence, personal injury, health & safety and regulatory, product liability, and clinical negligence.

The Head of Chambers is Andrew Bartlett QC and the Deputy Head of Chambers is Michael Kent QC.

New Door Tenants

Crown Office Chambers are delighted to announce that the members of Byrom Street Chambers in Manchester will be joining us as Door Tenants with effect from Monday 3rd October 2011, while retaining their principal practising address in Manchester. Byrom Street has 14 members (9 silks and 5 juniors) and is recognised as a leading set for personal injury, industrial disease and clinical negligence by Chambers UK and the Legal 500. Two of Byrom Street's silks are also recommended by the Legal 500 for Chancery and Commercial litigation. We will retain separate clerking but look forward to working closely together in the future.
