Mini Pupillage
If you are thinking of applying to us, a mini-pupillage is a very good way of meeting us and for us to meet you. We do not formally assess mini-pupillages, although a short standard written exercise will be provided and your performance during your mini-pupillage will be considered during any subsequent application for pupillage and may therefore be to your advantage.
In general, applicants should aim to be in their second year or early part of the final year of their law degree or in the early part of their CPE/GDL year, so that the mini-pupillage is completed before pupillage applications become due.
Chambers offers a very limited number of mini-pupillages which last from Tuesday to Friday in selected weeks throughout the year.
In the Summer term 2011, the selected weeks are as follows:
- 21 – 24 June 2011
- 28 - 1 July 2011
- 5 - 8 July 2011
- 12 - 15 July 2011
- 19 – 22 July 2011
- 26 - 29 July 2011
Applications for mini-pupillages for the above dates (June to July 2011) must be made by 31 March 2011.
In Autumn 2011 term/Spring 2012 term, the selected weeks are as follows:
- 6 - 9 September 2011
- 13 – 16 September 2011
- 20 - 23 September 2011
- 6 – 9 December 2011
- 3 - 6 April 2012
- 17 - 20 April 2012
Applications for mini-pupillages for the above dates (September 2011 to April 2012) must be made by 30 June 2011.
You will be asked to give your preferred dates from the selected weeks offered, but it may well not be possible to accommodate each applicant's first choice.

After filling in the document please save the document as a normal Word file and e-mail it to the Pupillage Administrator at mini-pupillage@crownofficechambers.com with the subject heading "Mini-Pupillage Application".
Please note that Chambers does not accept CVs in lieu of a completed application form. Please do not send a CV in addition. Applications in CV format will not be considered.
